Comments: Perhaps the designer was thinking of Minnesota as the “Arrowhead” state when she designed this quilt. The central medallion is composed of four “Stepping Stones” blocks (Brackman # 1983b) that are very similar to “Arrowheads” blocks (Brackman # 1986). The medallion is surrounded by a sawtooth border. The next border is composed of twenty pieced “Queen Charlotte’s Crown blocks (Brackman # 4134). The outer border is a 5.5 inch solid strip quilted with cables, with dogtooth edging on both sides.
