"Grandmother's Choice" scrap quilt
1985
Design: Overall design of pieced blocks in the traditional "Grandmother's Choice" pattern. This is Brackman block #3936 "Unnamed".
Fabrics: Cotton; block makers received blue and white solid fabrics for the block center and background. They were asked to provide print fabrics from their stash to complete the blocks.
Technique: Blocks were hand pieced; top was assembled using machine piecing
Block Makers: Members of MQ
Comments: This quilt was made for the MQ collection in 1985 to mark the MQ annual show for that year "Scrap Quilt Magic". The show was held March 29-April 2, 1985, at the College of St. Thomas.
