Saturday, October 3: Quilting Fundamentals Workshop (Adult Beginner) by Rose Allen

1pm-4pm, Ticket $40 MQ Members, $50 Non-Members

Learn the basics in this class for beginners. Rose Allen will guide you through every step, from fabric preparation and cutting to sewing with precision as you create two simple quilt blocks. Students must provide their own sewing machine.

Saturday, November 7: Disappearing 9 Patch Meets Flying Geese Workshop by Helen Smith Stone

1pm-4pm, Ticket $60 MQ Members, $70 Non-Members

In this three-hour workshop, you'll learn how to take two Nine-patch blocks, cut them up, and turn them into Flying Geese. Class participants will also experiment with a few different pattern layouts during class. This block design is a great way to use up scraps and can be made in a variety of sizes ... from a table runner to a full-size quilt. A fun, creative project!  Students must provide their own sewing machine.

With no rules, rigid patterns, or expectations, SAORI invites you to slow down, explore color and texture, and rediscover the curiosity you had as a child. Using SAORI looms—ready and waiting for you—you’ll experiment with yarns, fibers, and unexpected materials to create a one-of-a-kind textile. Whether your finished piece becomes a scarf, table runner, wall hanging, or quilting panel, it will be uniquely yours. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike.

Friday, December 11: Barn Quilt Painting Workshop by Cynthia Buchholz

10am-4pm, Ticket $60 MQ Members, $70 Non-Members (There is an additional $100 kit that students will purchase directly from the instructor).

Spend a fun and creative day with Cynthia Buchholz of Bittersweet Barn Quilt Company and paint your very own 2 x 2-foot barn quilt. Choose from a variety of classic quilt block designs, then make it uniquely yours by selecting your own colors from up to 90 paint choices.
