December Holiday Gathering Extravaganza!
Come one, come all! It'’s that magical time of year when we gather together to celebrate, eat too much, and pretend we're not judging each other’s holiday sweaters.
Dress Code:
Wear your UGLIEST holiday sweater — the more sequins, pom-poms, and questionable design choices, the better. Bonus points if it lights up.
AND bring your ugliest fabric — you know, that one you bought on impulse and now can’t explain. Maybe someone else will find it charming (or at least ironic) and rescue it from your shame pile.
Expect festive music, awkward dance moves, and enough holiday cheer to make even the Grinch crack a smile.
Food Assignments (Alphabetically Delicious):
- A–F → Bring a hot dish (bonus points if it’s still hot)
- G–L → Bring a dessert (homemade or store-bought, we’re not judging...much)
- M–R → Bring something to drink (water, soda, punch, or your famous spiced cider)
- S–Z → Bring a side dish (salads, rolls, questionable Jell-O concoctions — all welcome)
We Need Elves!
Looking for a few cheerful volunteers to help with setup and clean-up. We can’t promise fame or fortune, but we can promise gratitude and probably cookies.
Mark your calendars, prep your sweaters, and bring your ugliest fabric and best festive spirit. Let’s make it merry, weird, and wonderful.
We’ve got some fun activities lined up for the Gathering, and we can’t wait to get crafty with you! Please bring a stuffed purse….(HINT)
To kick things off, bring along four fabric rectangles—each about 3″ wide and 14″ long. Give each piece a good press in half lengthwise to make a center crease. Then open it up, fold the raw edges in toward that crease, and fold it back along the original line. Press again, and voilà! You’ll have four tidy little strips with all the messy edges tucked neatly inside. A little starch works wonders to keep everything nice and flat!
Helpful extras to have on hand: tweezers, scissors, and a binder clip (trust us—they’ll come in handy!).
Full instructions will be waiting for you at each table—just bring your fabric and your creative spirit!
