Interested in Contributing a Quilt of Valor?
We highly encourage MQ members to consider creating a quilt, honoring our service members. To ensure these quilts meet the high standards of the Quilts of Valor Foundation (QOVF), makers should follow specific construction guidelines for backing, binding, and labeling as detailed on qovf.org. Participants can find inspiration and full challenge details in the reveal video posted on the Minnesota Quilters (MQ) YouTube channel, originally shared during the December 4th meeting
If you have a veteran or service member you would like to designate to receive your quilt(s), there are two ways to do that. Regina Zedell will coordinate receiving designated quilts, either to be presented on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the 2nd Floor Lobby of the River’s Edge Convention Center at 10AM or at a later date. Quilts that are not being donated to a specific service member may be dropped off at MQ Offices during office hours or during the Show, at the Board/Information table.
If you would like a label to put on your QoV quilt, labels will be available at the MQ office during business hours, starting on May 5th.
*Note:Â We are looking for people who would be able to longarm a QoV Quilt top. While we prefer completed quilts, we may have quilt tops donated. Quilt tops may not be able to be displayed at the Show.
